Last year our organization reached our goal of $1,000 that helped us purchase many months of supplies, all of which go on the giveaway line each month to people experiencing homelessness and limited means in Central Austin, TX.
It takes a lot to run our organization and each year we have expanded our giving list/ With Amplify Austin, we hope to keep up momentum and give away the most sought-after and needed items in 2020. Monetary donations fill our stockpile of supplies to last 6 months at a time, which helps reduce last-minute purchase costs and make our donations spread as far as we can. We also have grand plans in the works and we can’t make that possible without our community.

Here is a little bit about the organization that makes Amplify Austin Day happen each year:
“I Live Here I Give Here™ is on a mission to make Central Texas the most generous community in the nation. We believe that we can build a more united, more equitable, and more prosperous community for all when we give together.
I Live Here I Give Here is a bridge to impact, helping you make your mark, your way, on our city. Austin has been named one of the most economically segregated cities in the country while also being named one of America’s strongest economies. Austin is currently ranked the 33rd most generous city in the US, compared to our neighbors Dallas at number 4, Houston at number 5, and San Antonio at number 25. We know we can do better!
Programs like Amplify Austin Day, See Us Give (formerly See Jane Give and Give Back Jack), Giving Tuesday, and the Board Internship Program are designed to help locals find the issues they care about and take action to be part of the solution. By inspiring new and young, givers, volunteers, and activists to make an impact on the community where they live, I Live Here I Give Here™ is ensuring that Austin thrives for decades to come.
I Live Here I Give Here is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2007.”
We truly appreciate everyone’s support, and feel free to contact us with any other comments or questions you may have. Happy giving!
