This Sunday, we had 200 individuals pass through our lines (both living supplies and food) that were expertly staffed by approximately 50 caring volunteers. It was a great giveaway.
December tends to be a busy month for us. We have a distinct uptick in the number of individuals we serve and we usually have more volunteers to help. I’m pleased to report that this December was no different.
In addition to an ample stock of every day living supplies, we had a separate line for sandwiches and other food. Even though there has been a bit of controversy around individuals experiencing homelessness in Austin, we still several folks come through our line.
As we close out 2019, we couldn’t be more thankful for the great volunteers and donors that have helped us out this year (and years prior). The type of work we perform isn’t always easy, but you’ve stood beside us…and we appreciate it. Through your time and donations, you have made a significant impact on many, many lives. Thank you.
