It was a cool and windy morning…it sounds like the opening line to a novel, but it’s what we encountered for our April giveway. Here’s the recap:
A cold front came through Austin on Saturday, but it couldn’t stop the Austin Humanist at Work’s volunteers on Sunday. In addition to the temps being in the 40s and 50s, we had to switch venues (slightly) and set up shop in a different place. It didn’t have any effect on our great volunteers…they know how to handle change.
Our giveaways are a thing of beauty when you see it from the outside. Here’s a 26 second video showing you what it looks like from the outside:
We had approximately 33 volunteers (including a baby) that served 153 folks that passed through our line. So many humans helping other humans.
A big THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and donors. The donors bring in the supplies and our volunteers make sure it gets in the right hands. We couldn’t do it without you.
Next giveaway is May 20th! We hope to see you there!
