The early spring here in Texas certainly is beautiful! Seeing the wildflowers (especially the Texas bluebonnets) always brings a smile to our faces. Unfortunately, it also means that allergy season is in full bloom. There were three pages of allergy information on the local news. In the words of Cathy, “ACK!” (and sniffle and sneeze). So it should come as no surprise that tissues are one of the things that we need the most for the next giveaway.
We are completely out of a few items: condoms, nail clippers, hand sanitizer, razors, and toilet paper. There are several other things that we could use more of for the giveaway – things that we have some of, but not quite enough for a full giveaway. Exciting News:
We have our first-ever drop off location! The owners of Pak Mail Metric, Andrew Smyth and Ilia Belov, kindly allowed us to place a donation bin in their business. The bin is just inside the front door, next to the mailboxes. Look for our sign. We are very excited to have a drop off location. Thank you so much Andrew and Ilia!

You can also bring your donation to the giveaway. We ask that you bring a list of what you’re donating with your name and email address, so that we can log your donation quickly and accurately. We will not share your info with anyone.

ATXHAW’s Gettin’ Knotty group meets up to knit and crochet each month in the cafe area of the Barnes & Noble in the Arboretum. This month’s meetup will be on Thursday, March 23, from 7-10 PM. The meetup also serves as a donation drop off, so gather up your items, your yarn, and come hang out with some great people!
