March 2017 Recap

Girl Scout Cookies…oh my!  This is the Austin Humanists at Work March 2017 Recap.

When we were scheduling our giveaways for the first part of our year, we tried to comply to our “third Sunday” rule of thumb.  Thanks to a little festival that took our normal Sunday, we decided to shift one week ahead for our giveaway.  We were not disappointed.  We had a great giveaway.

We had about 35 enthusiastic volunteers that served 152 guests that went through our line.  We had a few new volunteers that came out and pitched in on our giveaway line.  You guys were pros!

We had the support of the Springwoods Girl Scouts that brought around 152 boxes of delicious Girl Scout Cookies.  A few of the Scouts from that group manned the table to pass out boxes to very thankful folks.  These young women were remarkably self reliant and efficient with their cookie dispensing duties.

We are so grateful for so many folks that attend our giveaways and send us donations.  If you were able to make it out this morning, thank you.  You can’t imagine how rewarding it is to have you by our side.  If you donated something in person, via the PakMail drop off box or our Amazon Wish List, thank you as well.  We couldn’t do this with out your generous support.
