Our July giveaway is in the books, and it went better than expected.
Normally, the summer months tend to be slow for donations and for volunteers. However, our donors and volunteers have stepped up and helped us out in a big way.
This Sunday, we had approximately 28 volunteers that served 139 individuals that came through the line. Additionally, we were well stocked this month with many donations coming in through our intake table and the Amazon Wishlist. We also had a good supply of clothing that went quickly.
We had a lot of help from some of our younger volunteers at the end of the line that helped pass out healthy snacks and kept count of the folks that went through. Thanks guys! You’re awesome! We usually go through an entire box of bananas every month.
All around, a great time. Thank you to our volunteers and our donors. We are all honored to be associated with such a great group. We couldn’t do it without you.
