Only 13 days until the next giveaway! As you read in our May Giveaway Recap, we had 183 people go through our line last month. We are very glad to be able to assist so many members of our community, but such a high number put a dent in our inventory! We have quite a few things on our Green Light list this month, including: men’s socks, toothbrushes, insect repellent, tissues, deodorant, first aid kits, and sunscreen. To see the full Traffic Light Shopping Guide, please click here.

Speaking of sunscreen… It’s our June Item of the Month! We have sunscreen on our Amazon Wish List, in packs of 3 or a box of 24. If you’re shopping locally, Target has travel-size sunscreen for about $1 each.

This month, we’ve added a new item to our Amazon Wish List – bras! We don’t receive bras very often, and when we do, they go pretty quickly. If you have some bras that no longer fit or that just aren’t your style, please don’t throw them away; donate them! We accept new & gently used bras of all kinds.

If you’re in the Austin area & would like to make a donation, we’ll be happy to pick it up! We have volunteers from Kyle to Cedar Park and everywhere in between. Please email Our donations coordinator will put you in touch with the nearest volunteer. You can make pick up arrangements that work with your schedule.
You can also bring your donation to the giveaway! For more info on where to go, please click here.

knitting exercise

(It definitely counts.)
If you’d like to exercise knit & crochet while cracking up, come join our Gettin’ Knotty group! The next meetup is on Thursday, June 16, from 7-10 PM. We meet in the cafe area of Barnes & Noble in the Arboretum. We make cotton washcloths to give out year round, and also hats & scarves to put away for the winter months. Come when you can, leave when you must!

We hope you have a great week! See you on the 19th!
