Hello everyone! It’s hard to believe, but the last giveaway of the year is almost here! We have our monthly traffic light shopping list for you to peruse, as well as a few reminders & updates.
The ATXAHH Warmth Drive is going strong! We are collecting all sorts of cold weather clothing, such as sweats, fleece/flannel shirts, thermal undergarments, coats, hats, scarves, socks, and gloves. We’d also be happy to pass out any blankets, sleeping bags, and ponchos that you might have around the house. We accept new & gently used items. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a donation pick up.
If you aren’t able to donate at this time, please share our flyers! They can be printed out & posted on community bulletin boards, or you can send the link to family & friends that might be interested in donating.
Calling all crafters!
The ATXAHH Gettin’ Knotty group is having their monthly meeting on Thursday (December 17)! If you knit, crochet, would like to learn, or just want to drink coffee & chat, join us at the Barnes & Noble in the Arboretum from 7 – 10 PM.
Would you like to make something, but aren’t really into yarn crafts? Maybe putting together a gift box or bag is more your thing? We are accepting gift boxes until December 25th – they’ll be distributed between Christmas & New Year’s. We are also accepting donations of items to go in the gift boxes & bags. Click here for guidelines. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a pick up, please contact us.
Last, but certainly not least, is our traffic light shopping guide!
Red Light (we don’t need any more of these items right now):
Feminine Hygiene Products – Pads & tampons (all kinds), pantyliners, feminine wipes
Yellow Light (we probably have enough of these items to get through the giveaway, but a few more wouldn’t hurt):
Cotton balls & q-tips
Dental products – toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss/floss picks
First aid kits
Green Light (we really need these items!):
Notepads & pens
We’d also love to take any plastic bags off your hands! We go through a lot of them at the giveaway.
If you live in the Austin area & would like to make a donation, please email email@example.com. We have volunteers from Kyle to Georgetown (and everywhere in between!) that can pick up your donation.
If you’re not in the Austin area, please check out our Amazon wish list. Your donation will be sent directly to us. (Helpful hint: If you click Sort By: Priority, the list will be sorted to match the traffic light shopping guide. High priority = Green Light, Medium priority = Yellow Light, and Low priority = Red Light.)
Thanks for reading! We hope you have a wonderful weekend. See you on the 20th!
What we need for December 20!
