We’ve had several packages come from Amazon with no paperwork. Did you send us one of these? If you’d like to let us know that you did, please email atxahhdonations@gmail.com. Either way, we appreciate your donation!

In other news…

We wrapped up the shoebox present project, and when all was said & done, ATXAHH and County Line Homeless Ministry had 120 shoebox presents & 21 dog gift bags. They look wonderful!

The shoebox project was so well received by our supporters that we’ve decided to keep it going! ATXAHH & the Learning Without Limits book club will be creating holiday bags to be handed out between Christmas & New Year’s. We’d like to receive all bags by December 25. If you have completed boxes or supplies that you’d like to donate, please email atxahhdonations@gmail.com to schedule a pick up. Not sure what to put in the holiday bags? Here are some guidelines.
We’ve already gotten a few donations towards the holiday bags:
Cards boxes dog stuff

Thank you to D.K., the family of S.C. & J.G., and G.C. for these items.

The ATXAHH Warmth Drive continues!

We are getting into the coldest months of the year, where temperatures are regularly dipping into the 30s. It’s especially important that people experiencing homelessness be able to stay warm outdoors. We accept new & gently used clothing – coats, sweats, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, thermal underwear… we’ll take it! If you have any clothing that you’d like to donate, please email atxahhdonations@gmail.com.
If you’re not able to donate, please spread the word! We have flyers to print out, or send the link to your friends & family. Word of mouth helps us a lot!

Speaking of warm clothes… the ATXAHH Gettin’ Knotty group is looking for crafters! If you knit, crochet, or would like to learn, we’d love to have you at our next meeting – December 17th, from 7 PM to 10 PM. We’ll be meeting in the cafe area of the Barnes & Noble in the Arboretum. We make hats & scarves for winter, and washcloths all year round!

The Foundation Beyond Belief’s Humanists Care Challenge continues! The FBB is hoping to raise $100,000 to be able to continue their mission of humanist giving. There’s all sorts of neat prizes you can win, AND you can make your donation count double! The Bella & Stella Foundation is matching donations up to $20,000 – wow!
If you’re not able to donate, please share the Humanists Care Challenge on Facebook & Twitter, using the hashtag #HumanistsCare.

Would you like to get outdoors & help those experiencing homelessness at the same time? ECHO needs volunteers for their 2016 Point In Time Count, on January 23rd. For more information or to register, please click here.

Thanks for reading! We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of love & laughter. See you on the 20th!
We have a lot to be thankful for!
